Pedro Jesús Gómez with his guitar

About me…

I am Pedro Jesús, a musician specialising in historical and contemporary plucked strings. My artistic career has revolved around the study and performance of instruments spanning centuries of musical history.

I trained on the contemporary guitar, the classical-romantic guitar, the baroque guitar and the renaissance guitar, as well as other instruments of the historical tradition such as the theorbo, the baroque lute, the renaissance lute, the vihuela, the ʿud and the medieval citole.

Each instrument I play is a doorway to a different sonic universe. Through them I seek not only to perform music with rigour and sensitivity, but also to connect with the soul of each era and bring it to the present with authenticity and emotion.
